Husk 01:55
Raise your wrists To the sky Take the bait Live a lie Hooked. Blindsided. Washed. Clean. While the burning husks fill the room, We taste and make haste to seal in the fumes. Fettered by our own ambitions, Stumbling backwards. Falling into line.

Bastards 02:06
It’s not your fault You’re just a symptom Not a cause I’m a sore Cut off, lying on the bed. Drained. In need of assistance. The light has been snuffed out. The birds don’t sing anymore. This cage is full. It’s not your fault You’re just a symptom Not a cause I’m a sore.
3.
A barrel of laughs set on fire. Boiled Spit. Drowning us in a fit of sympathy. Lucid dreamer. Give us a twist. You salivate over open wounds Clenching our teeth in your fists. You offer out your hand in guidance Under the guise of a friend. More dog than god.
4.
Foul mouths full of cigarettes From the cradle to the grave Our lungs are full of shit We pour excuse on entertainment A whirlwind of disappointment Rushed right through us Wasting time on thoughtless crime Another sleepless night spent outside. Burning bridges and abandoned buildings. An endless grey summer day. But we never gave up hope On chasing the sun in our heads. I’m still chasing the sun in my head.
5.
Packed in like sardines Strangled in the net Weaved together Avoiding eye contact Avoid. A Void. No time to react Curled up safely A human cannonball Fired through the glass ceiling It’s raining shrapnel A humble nailbomb Pressed into flowers

about

“Hooked. Blindsided. Washed. Clean.” A perfect description of how you’ll feel after listening to ‘Collapse’, the latest EP from Dawlish/Plymouth based math/noise outfit Tendrils. Suffused with the boundless, breathless energy and jagged, needle sharp guitar work of the likes of Botch, The Dillinger Escape Plan, early Converge and Gaza, breakneck riffs backed by a stuttering drum powerhouse are the name of the game.

First slithering onto the scene with their 2013 debut EP ‘Dregs’ (Hope Lost Records) the then-trio wasted no time in following up with 2015’s short and sharp ‘Verse’ EP, all the while cutting their teeth sharing stages with acts including Employed To Serve, Fall Of Messiah, Monolithian and Irk.

Early 2018 saw substantial line-up change with the introduction of Dan Couch (guitar/vocals for Helpless) on main vocals; a natural transition considering Dan’s long term support of Tendrils, both as a fan and having recorded both ‘Dregs’ and ‘Verse’ EPs. Dan’s introduction allowed the band to focus on furthering their frantic, high-energy song writing, with everything falling into place to write and record ‘Collapse’ in October 2018.
